The ALMaQUEST Survey. VII. Star Formation Scaling Relations of Green Valley Galaxies

چکیده
We utilize the ALMA-MaNGA QUEnch and STar formation (ALMaQUEST) survey to investigate kpc-scale scaling relations, presented as resolved star forming main sequence (rSFMS: $\Sigma_{\rm SFR}$ vs. $\Sigma_{*}$), Schmidt-Kennicutt relation (rSK: H_{2}}$), molecular gas (rMGMS: H_{2}}$ for 11478 star-forming 1414 retired spaxels (oversampled by a factor of $\sim20$) located in 22 green valley (GV) 12 (MS) galaxies. Scaling relations in dynamical evolution of star clusters
We have carried out a series of small scale collisional N-body calculations of single-mass star clusters to investigate the dependence of the lifetime of star clusters on their initial parameters. Our models move through an external galaxy potential with a logarithmic density profile and they are limited by a cut-off radius. In order to find scaling relations between the lifetime of star cluste...
متن کاملThe ATLAS3D Project – XXX. Star formation histories and stellar population scaling relations of early-type galaxies
We present the stellar population content of early-type galaxies from the ATLAS3D survey. Using spectra integrated within apertures covering up to one effective radius, we apply two methods: one based on measuring line-strength indices and applying single stellar population (SSP) models to derive SSP-equivalent values of stellar age, metallicity, and alpha enhancement; and one based on spectral...

متن کاملMolecular Hydrogen and Global Star Formation Relations in Galaxies
We use hydrodynamical simulations of disk galaxies to study relations between star formation and properties of the molecular interstellar medium (ISM). We implement a model for the ISM that includes low-temperature (T < 104 K) cooling, directly ties the star formation rate to the molecular gas density, and accounts for the destruction of H2 by an interstellar radiation field from young stars. W...
متن کاملOn the scaling relations of disk galaxies
The physical background of scaling laws of disk galaxies is reviewed. The match between analytically derived and observed scaling laws is briefly discussed. Accurate modeling of the fraction of baryons that end up populating a disk, and the conversion efficiency of those into stars, remains a challenging task for numerical simulations. The measurement of rotational velocity tends to be made wit...
